The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 75715-Y Yellow 5m Cat6a S/FTP is a 5-metre patch cable designed for high-speed wired networks. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and fitted with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts, the cable supports stable transmission and reduced interference in environments where reliable data transfer is required.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable offers enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference through its overall screen and individually shielded pairs, improving signal integrity over longer runs. The gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide corrosion resistance and consistent contact quality, while the bright yellow jacket increases visibility for organized cabling and simplified identification in network installations.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet links including 10GBASE-T within supported distances
• Structured cabling between network switches, patch panels and wall outlets
• Server rooms, data centers and professional office networks
• Environments requiring minimized crosstalk and external interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a performance class
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually foiled/twisted pairs)
• Length: 5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Cable color: yellow

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network device such as a switch, router, or network interface on a computer and the other end to the corresponding port on the destination device or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks and avoid sharp bends or kinking near terminations. Route the cable alongside other structured cabling while maintaining recommended bend radius and separation from strong electrical sources to preserve signal quality.

Recommendations

For best results in 10G Ethernet applications, keep run lengths within industry-recommended distances for Cat6a and avoid running parallel to high-voltage electrical cabling. Use the yellow jacket for clear labeling of network segments and maintain connector cleanliness to prevent contact degradation.
