The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 75725 Grey 15 m Cat6a S/FTP is a 15-metre Ethernet patch cable designed for high-speed wired networks. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding, the cable supports high bandwidth and reduced electromagnetic interference. Both ends terminate in RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable signal transfer and long-term contact resistance stability. The grey jacket provides a neutral aesthetic suitable for visible runs in home or office environments.

Advantages

Cat6a performance and S/FTP shielding combine to provide enhanced data throughput and improved protection against crosstalk and external noise. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve corrosion resistance and consistent electrical contact. The 15 m length covers longer runs without intermediate patch panels and the flexible sheath allows for easier routing in cable trays or along baseboards. The neutral grey color is unobtrusive and compatible with most interior setups.

Suitable for

• High-speed wired connections for desktop computers and workstations
• Connecting network switches, routers, and patch panels within a single room or office
• Media streaming devices, smart TVs, and gaming consoles requiring stable wired links
• Temporary or semi-permanent cabling where a 15 m length is required

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 15 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts for improved corrosion resistance
• Jacket color: grey
• Intended use: Ethernet data transmission at high speeds

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (for example, a router, switch, or modem) and the other end to the target device such as a PC, TV, or network-attached storage. Ensure connectors fully seat into the ports until a tactile click is felt. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinch points; maintain a bend radius appropriate for Ethernet cabling to preserve signal integrity. For best results, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference despite the shielding.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for installations requiring reliable 10/1/2.5/1 Gbps links and reduced external interference. Inspect connectors before installation and replace the cable if connectors or jacket show visible damage. For permanent in-wall installations, verify local regulations and use cables rated for in-wall or plenum use as required.
