Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks 0,5m RJ45 Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks 0.5m RJ45 Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is a short patch cable engineered for high-speed Ethernet connections up to 10000 Mbit/s. This 0.5 metre cable uses Cat6 cabling standards with U/UTP (unshielded pair with an overall braid) construction and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to maintain reliable contact and reduced corrosion. The vibrant red jacket makes cable identification easy in dense racks or desktop setups while offering consistent electrical performance suitable for home, office, and datacentre patching.

Advantages

The cable combines Cat6 performance with U/UTP construction to provide low crosstalk and stable signal transmission across short runs. Gold-plated RJ45 plugs improve connector longevity and contact quality. Its compact 0.5 m length minimises excess cable clutter and reduces potential interference in crowded cabling areas. The red jacket improves visual organisation and quick identification in multi-cable environments.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network equipment (switch-to-switch, switch-to-patch panel)
• Desktop and workstation connections to nearby switches or routers
• Structured cabling where colour coding is used for fast identification
• High-speed Ethernet links requiring Cat6 performance within short distances

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall braid with unshielded twisted pairs)
• Maximum data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Plating: gold-plated contacts
• Jacket colour: red

How to use

Insert each RJ45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices until the latch clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use the 0.5 m cable for short-distance links where minimal slack is required. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and avoid tight cable ties around the jacket to preserve signal integrity. For rack or panel installations, use colour-coding and labels to maintain consistent organisation.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat6 U/UTP cable within recommended short-run environments and ensure both endpoints support the intended Ethernet speed. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce electromagnetic interference. Regularly inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if the jacket or plug shows wear that could affect connectivity.
