Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks SP711-SL0.5B 0,5 m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks SP711-SL0.5B is a 0.5 m Cat6 networking cable designed for short-distance, high-performance Ethernet connections. It uses U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall unshielded jacket) topology and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent signal transmission and corrosion resistance. The cable's blue jacket provides a clear visual identification in patch panels and workstation setups.

Advantages

This Cat6 cable supports up to 1 Gbps Ethernet speeds over short runs and maintains improved crosstalk performance compared with lower category cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts reduce contact resistance and improve long-term reliability. The compact 0.5 m length minimizes excess cable clutter and is suitable for close-proximity connections between devices, patch panels, and switches.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop or laptop to a nearby switch or wall jack
• Short patch connections in network racks and patch panels
• Home or office LAN setups where a short, visible cable run is required
• Temporary test connections in network troubleshooting and diagnostics

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 Ethernet cable
• Length: 0.5 m
• Cabling type: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Blue
• Typical applications: Gigabit Ethernet, 1000BASE-T

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector securely into the Ethernet ports of the devices you intend to connect, ensuring audible or tactile click engagement. Use the cable for direct device-to-switch, device-to-wall jack, or patch panel connections where the 0.5 m length provides appropriate reach. Avoid sharp bends or sustained compression near the connector ends to preserve signal integrity. For best results, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and strong electromagnetic sources.

Recommendations

For stable Gigabit performance, keep the cable within recommended maximum lengths for patching and avoid kinking. Use this short-length cable where minimal slack is desired; for longer runs, select a cable with appropriate certified length and category to match network requirements.
