Καλώδιο δικτύου Dexlan 858729 κόκκινο 0,5 m Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP)

The Dexlan networking cable 858729 Red 0.5 m Cat6a S/FTP is a short patch cable designed for high-speed network connections. Meeting Cat6a performance parameters, this 0.5 metre cable uses S/FTP shielding (overall braid with individually foiled pairs) to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, it is suitable for linking devices in dense installations where short, reliable links are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction provides improved protection against alien crosstalk and EMI compared with unshielded or partially shielded cables. Cat6a performance supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the cable’s rated distance and maintains signal integrity for demanding network environments. Its short 0.5 m length reduces excess cable clutter in rack-mounted or desktop setups, while the molded RJ-45 connectors ensure secure, low-profile terminations. The red jacket offers immediate visual identification in structured cabling systems.

Key specifications

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of the device and the other to the corresponding port on the switch, patch panel or router. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For shielded cabling, maintain proper grounding practices in the installation to benefit from the shielding—follow your site’s grounding and bonding standards. Use the short length to tidy connections in racks or to replace damaged short interconnects.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force on the cable; keep the bend radius above the manufacturer’s recommended minimum and do not exceed typical pulling tensions. In installations where electromagnetic interference is present, verify that the cable shield is correctly terminated at both ends and that grounding is continuous. Use the red colour for easy identification of critical links or segregated network segments.
