The Dexlan 858728 0.3m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a short patch cord designed for reliable high-speed Ethernet connections. Built to Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this red cable supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short distances and is suitable for linking network equipment in patch panels, switches, routers and wall outlets. Its compact 0.3 meter length reduces cable clutter and helps maintain tidy, organised racks and workstations.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individual pair shields to protect against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, ensuring stable data transmission in environments with multiple cables and electronic devices. Cat6a performance provides improved bandwidth and reduced signal degradation compared with lower category cables. The RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with standard Ethernet ports, while the short length minimises excess cable and improves airflow in racks. The red jacket colour helps with visual identification and cable management.

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices or patch panel until the connector latch clicks. Use the 0.3 m length for short patch connections within racks, between adjacent devices, or from wall outlets to nearby workstations. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the bend radius recommended for twisted-pair cabling to preserve performance. For best results, avoid running the cable parallel to power lines and keep it separated from sources of strong electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use the red Dexlan Cat6a S/FTP cable for short, high-performance connections where shielding and clear visual identification are important. Verify that connected equipment supports required data rates and that patching follows your site’s cable management practices. Periodically inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show wear.
