The Dexlan 2m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable in blue provides a shielded, high-bandwidth connection for wired Ethernet environments. Built to Cat6a specifications with S/FTP (shielded foil overall with individually shielded pairs), this 2-meter RJ-45 patch cable is intended for applications requiring reliable 10 Gigabit data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference. The cable’s blue jacket identifies it easily within structured cabling installations and makes it suitable for both home and professional network setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction offers strong protection against external interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity over short to medium distances. Cat6a specification supports frequencies up to 500 MHz and is suitable for 10GBASE-T connections at distances within typical patch scenarios. RJ-45 connectors on both ends ensure compatibility with standard network ports and switches. The 2 m length balances flexibility and tidy cable management for racks, desks, and patch panels.

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices, ensuring the latch clicks into place. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic fields; keep the cable loosely coiled rather than tightly bent to maintain performance. For rack or patch panel installations, measure required length including slack for movement, then connect from switch to patch port or from patch port to workstation as required. If replacing an existing cable, disconnect the old cable by pressing the connector tab and gently pulling out before inserting the new Dexlan Cat6a cable.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable in shielded or grounded environments where possible. Avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines for long distances. Periodically inspect connectors for dust or damage and replace the cable if connector pins appear bent or the jacket is compromised.
