The Dexlan Networking Cable 858735 0.3m Cat6a S/FTP Black is a short, high-performance patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections. Compliant with Cat6a specifications, this 0.3 metre cable incorporates S/FTP shielding to minimize electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while RJ-45 connectors on both ends ensure compatibility with standard network equipment. The compact length makes it suitable for server cabinets, switch-to-patch connections and tight rack environments where space is limited.

Advantages

Built to Cat6a performance, the cable supports high data rates and improved signal integrity over shorter runs. S/FTP shielding provides both an overall screen and individually shielded pairs, reducing noise from adjacent cables and external sources. The fitted RJ-45 connectors offer a secure physical connection for switches, routers and network interface cards. The black outer jacket provides a discreet appearance for visible installations and helps identify the cable type in mixed-cable environments.

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 end into the network port of a switch, router or patch panel and the other end into the corresponding network device. Ensure connectors are fully seated and the latch clicks into place to maintain a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain bend radius recommendations from standard networking practice to preserve performance. For installations in racks or cabinets, secure the cable with appropriate cable management to avoid strain on connectors.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP patch cable for short, high-performance links inside racks and enclosures. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines for extended distances, and keep within industry-recommended bend radius and pull tension limits to ensure consistent signal quality.
