The Dexlan 858367 10m Cat6a S/FTP White networking cable provides a reliable physical connection for Ethernet networks. Built to the Cat6a standard with S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) construction and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this 10-metre white cable is intended for environments where higher bandwidth and reduced electromagnetic interference are required. It is suitable for linking routers, switches, patch panels, network interface cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding design reduces crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity over longer distances compared with unshielded cables. Conformity to the Cat6a performance class supports higher data rates and bandwidth requirements typically needed for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications. The 10 m length offers flexibility for placement of network equipment while the standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with common network ports. The white jacket provides a neutral appearance for residential and office installations.

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your source device (for example a router or switch) and the other connector into the target device (for example a computer or networked printer). Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, kinks and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. If using in a patching or rack environment, allow enough slack for movement and service access.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with mains power cables for long distances and maintain gentle bend radii consistent with standard network cabling practice. Use the cable for applications that match Cat6a performance expectations such as Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet where shielding helps reduce interference. Inspect connectors for damage before installation and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors are compromised.
