Φίλτρο Hama Vario 7,2 cm

The Hama Vario 7.2 cm neutral-density filter (ND2–400) reduces incoming light to allow creative exposure control and motion effects without digital editing. It fits lenses with a 7.2 cm thread and comes in black finish. The filter permits exposure correction across a wide range to achieve longer shutter speeds or larger apertures when shooting in bright conditions.

Advantages

The variable ND2–400 design provides continuous attenuation from about 1 to 8 stops, enabling finer control over exposure than fixed ND filters. A rotatable front element allows smooth adjustment of light reduction. Using the Hama Vario filter helps produce motion blur in flowing water or smooth backgrounds when using large apertures, while preserving image quality and avoiding overexposure in bright light.

Suitable for

• Landscape photography with long exposures (e.g., smoothing water)
• Portraits outdoors to use wide apertures in bright light
• Creative motion blur and time effects

Key specifications

• Type: Variable neutral-density filter (ND2–400)
• Diameter / Mount size: 7.2 cm
• Light reduction: approx. 1 to 8 stops (variable)
• Finish: black
• Brand: HAMA, MPN: 79172, EAN: 4007249791726

How to use

Attach the filter to a lens with the corresponding 7.2 cm thread. Rotate the front element to increase or decrease light reduction until the desired exposure or visual effect is reached. For motion blur effects in flowing water, select shutter speeds longer than about 1/30 s; for freezing motion use shorter shutter speeds. When aiming for shallow depth of field in bright conditions, adjust the filter to allow use of larger apertures without overexposure.

Recommendations

Avoid extreme polarization effects by making gradual adjustments; check exposure and focus after changing filter density. Use a tripod for long-exposure shots to prevent camera shake.
