Hama Vario ND2-400 γκρι φίλτρο κάμερας 82 mm

The Hama Vario ND2-400 Grey camera filter (8.2 cm) is an adjustable neutral density filter designed to reduce the amount of light entering the lens. By offering a variable density range from ND2 to ND400, it enables longer exposure times and wider apertures in bright conditions without overexposure. The filter’s black finish and optical glass construction help maintain color balance while minimizing reflections and stray light, supporting creative techniques such as motion blur and shallow depth of field.

Advantages

The variable ND design replaces the need for multiple fixed-density filters by covering a broad attenuation range in a single unit, simplifying kit setup and reducing weight. Optical coatings reduce internal reflections and glare, improving contrast and color saturation. The filter’s mechanical design allows smooth adjustment of density, giving precise control over exposure. Its 8.2 cm diameter fits compatible lens filter threads intended for this size and mounts securely for stable shooting.

Suitable for

• Long-exposure landscape and seascape photography
• Creating motion blur for waterfalls, rivers, and clouds
• Using wide apertures in bright light for portrait or subject isolation
• Video work requiring controlled exposure and consistent frame brightness

Key specifications

• Type: Variable neutral density (ND) filter
• Density range: ND2 to ND400 (adjustable)
• Optical diameter: 8.2 cm
• Finish: Black
• Material: Optical glass with anti-reflective coatings

How to use

Attach the filter to a lens with matching thread size or to an adapter maintained for an 8.2 cm filter. Rotate the adjustable ring to change the attenuation level until the viewfinder or live view shows the desired exposure. For very long exposures, use a tripod and remote shutter release to prevent camera shake. Check the scene for color shifts or vignetting at extreme settings and correct exposure and white balance as needed during post-processing.

Recommendations

When using the filter, start with small adjustments and monitor the histogram to avoid under- or overexposure. For extended exposures, cover the viewfinder to prevent light leaks and use protective caps when the filter is stored. Avoid stacking multiple filters unless necessary to reduce the risk of vignetting and loss of image quality.
