Δορυφορικός πολυδιακόπτης Kathrein KAT EXE 1581

The Kathrein KAT EXE 1581 is a satellite multiswitch designed to distribute a single satellite feed to multiple receivers. With one input and eight outputs, it supports satellite input frequencies from 950 to 2150 MHz and is intended for installations that require reliable signal routing to several set-top boxes or integrated satellite tuners. The unit has compact dimensions of 215 mm width, 148 mm depth and 43 mm height, making it suitable for mounting in distribution cabinets, equipment racks or near the antenna feed point.

Advantages

The device provides stable distribution of satellite signals across eight outputs while maintaining the full supported frequency range for modern DVB-S/DVB-S2 reception. Its compact housing reduces space requirements during installation and simplifies cable management. The electrical specifications are matched to common European mains parameters, supporting operation within a 207–253 V input voltage range and 47/63 Hz mains frequency.

How to use

Connect the incoming satellite coaxial cable to the single input on the multiswitch and run coaxial cables from each of the eight outputs to the respective receivers. Ensure the power supply matches the specified mains voltage and frequency before connecting. Mount the unit in a dry, ventilated location and avoid covering the housing to maintain stable operating temperature. Use quality coaxial cables and connectors to minimize signal loss and check each receiver for correct LNB setup and DiSEqC settings if required.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use low-loss coaxial cable and high-quality F-connectors, keep cable runs as short as practical, and verify each receiver’s configuration. If longer distances are needed, consider using an inline amplifier or a distribution solution designed for extended runs. Ensure the multiswitch is installed in an accessible location for maintenance and troubleshooting.
