The EFB Elektronik EC020200241 RJ-45 Cat8.1 10 m Blue is a high-performance networking cable designed for modern wired networks. Compliant with Cat8.1 specifications and fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, the cable provides reliable physical connections over a 10-metre length. Its S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting high-speed data transmission up to 40000 Mbit/s while maintaining signal integrity for demanding network environments.

Advantages

The cable's Cat8.1 construction and S/FTP shielding offer improved protection against external interference compared with unshielded cables, making it suitable for installations near electronic equipment or in structured cabling systems. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and corrosion resistance for long-term use. The 10 m length provides flexibility in equipment placement without compromising on performance, and the blue jacket provides clear visual identification in cabling runs.

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat8.1
• Length: 10 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall shield with individually foiled pairs)
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold plating
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Inspect both RJ-45 connectors and both device ports before installation to ensure they are free of dust and debris. Route the cable along appropriate cable management paths, avoiding tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. Insert RJ-45 plugs firmly into the corresponding ports until the latch clicks. For permanent installations in racks or enclosures, secure the cable with cable ties or cable organizers to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid kinking the cable and maintain bend radii recommended for Cat8-class cables. Keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and heavy machinery that may introduce interference. When connecting networking equipment that requires very high throughput, verify device compatibility with Cat8.1 cabling and use proper patch panels or switches rated for the intended data rates.
