The EFB Elektronik EC020200239 RJ-45 Cat8.1 networking cable is a 5 m blue Ethernet cable designed for high-speed wired data connections. Compliant with the Cat8.1 standard, it supports data transfer rates up to 40000 Mbit/s and implements S/FTP (S-STP) shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors that feature gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and wear resistance, suitable for demanding network environments where signal integrity is important.

Advantages

The cable's Cat8.1 specification enables very high bandwidth for modern networking applications while the S/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external noise. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable contact and corrosion resistance over time. With a 5 m length and durable outer jacket in blue, the product balances flexibility and cable management convenience for rack, workstation or home network setups.

Suitable for

• Data centre uplinks and short-distance server connections
• High-performance LAN links between switches and routers
• Workstation and desktop connections requiring low latency
• Home networks with high-bandwidth streaming and gaming

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Shielding: S/FTP (S-STP) - overall foil with individually shielded pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Cable length: 5 m
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your device and the other to the network switch, router or modem. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure link. For best performance, avoid sharp bends, compressions or routing the cable alongside strong electrical power lines which may introduce interference despite shielding. Check link speed settings on connected devices to confirm negotiated bandwidth.

Recommendations

For reliable high-speed performance, use this Cat8.1 cable for short-distance links within racks or between nearby network equipment; maintain bend radii recommended by the manufacturer and replace if connector damage or jacket wear is visible.
