The EFB Elektronik EC020200201 RJ-45 Cat7 20 m Green networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding wired networks. Compliant with Cat7 specifications, it supports data transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s and is built with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to ensure reliable signal integrity and reduced interference over longer runs. The 20 m length and durable green jacket make it suitable for structured cabling in offices, server rooms, and home networks where both performance and cable identification matter.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (shielded foil around pairs plus overall braid) provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving transmission stability in environments with many signal sources. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors deliver corrosion resistance and consistent contact quality for long-term reliability. The Cat7 rating enables high-bandwidth applications and future-proofing for network upgrades. The 20 m length offers flexibility in placement of devices without additional couplers, and the green outer jacket supports easy visual identification within cable bundles.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet connections in offices and data centers
• Connecting switches, routers, NAS devices, and workstations
• Structured cabling runs where shielded cable is required
• Home networks needing long runs with minimal interference

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 20 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil on pairs with overall braid)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Green

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring connectors are fully seated into RJ-45 ports until the latch clicks. Avoid tight bends and kinks; maintain the cable bend radius recommended for Ethernet cables to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. When running the cable near power lines or noisy equipment, use the shielding to minimize interference and consider separate conduits where required. For permanent installations, secure the cable with suitable clips or cable management accessories without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, test the installed link with appropriate network testers to verify signal quality and throughput. In environments with strong external interference, ensure both ends are connected to grounded equipment and avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power cabling.
