LevelOne RJ45 σε SFP Managed Fast Ethernet Μετατροπέας μέσου

The LevelOne Web Smart Media Converter FVS-3800 converts between 10/100BASE-TX and 100BASE-X SFP Ethernet, enabling integration of copper and fiber links in wired networks. It provides web-based management for remote monitoring, configuration and control, helping maintain network reliability and support higher-bandwidth applications.

Advantages

The converter supports HTTP management with remote firmware upgrade, simplifying maintenance. It includes DHCP client support for easy IP setup and implements LLR (Link Loss Return) to handle link failures. Built-in ICMP and ARP protocol support and 802.3x flow control help prevent data loss and improve interoperability with existing network equipment. VLAN features include IEEE 802.1Q and Q-in-Q for traffic segmentation.

Key specifications

• Media conversion: 10/100BASE-TX to 100BASE-X SFP
• Management: web-based HTTP interface
• Firmware: remote upgrade via HTTP supported
• Protocols: ICMP, ARP
• IP setup: DHCP Client
• Link handling: LLR (Link Loss Return)
• VLAN: IEEE 802.1Q and Double VLAN (Q-in-Q)
• Flow control: IEEE 802.3x

How to use

Install the FVS-3800 between the copper and fiber segments, insert an appropriate 100BASE-X SFP module, and connect the 10/100BASE-TX port to the copper Ethernet link. Access the device web interface via its IP address to perform initial configuration or use DHCP for automatic IP assignment. Use the HTTP management page to monitor status, apply settings, and perform firmware upgrades remotely.

Recommendations

For stable operation, use compatible SFP modules and ensure firmware is kept up to date via the HTTP remote upgrade. Enable 802.3x flow control and configure VLAN or Q-in-Q settings as required by your network design to reduce packet loss and maintain segmentation.
