LevelOne μετατροπέας μέσου RJ45 σε SFP Managed Fast Ethernet

FVM-1000 is a managed Fast Ethernet fiber media converter that converts signals between 10/100Base-TX (copper) and 100Base-FX (fiber). The device supports half-duplex and full-duplex modes and is available with multiple fiber options. It provides local and remote management through an integrated web interface and supports IEEE 802.3ah OAM for interoperability with compliant fiber switches.

Advantages

The FVM-1000 enables remote management of fiber-connected converters or switches using OAM, allowing configuration and monitoring of both local and remote devices. It supports loopback and dying-gasp functions and provides web-based control of bandwidth limits, duplex mode, speed and VLAN settings. The unit is suitable for deployments that require centralized monitoring and straightforward administration of fiber Ethernet links.

Key specifications

• Media conversion: 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX
• Operation modes: half-duplex and full-duplex
• Management: integrated Web user interface (local and remote)
• OAM standard: IEEE 802.3ah compliant
• OAM features: loopback and dying-gasp support
• Configurable parameters: bandwidth control, duplex, speed, VLAN

How to use

Connect the copper Ethernet link to the 10/100Base-TX port and the fiber link to the 100Base-FX port. Access the device’s web interface from a browser on the local network or via a remotely connected OAM-compliant device. Use the web interface to set duplex and speed, apply bandwidth controls and configure VLANs. For remote management, ensure the opposite-end converter or switch supports IEEE 802.3ah OAM.

Recommendations

For reliable OAM-based remote management, deploy the FVM-1000 with IEEE 802.3ah–compliant fiber switches or media converters and verify compatible fiber types and transceiver modules before installation.
