Καλώδιο Patch Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 γκρι 20 m

The Draka Comteq HP-FTP Cat6 patch cable in grey, 20 meters long, is designed for high-speed Ethernet networks where signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference are required. The cable uses HP-FTP topology with an overall foil shield (F/UTP) that protects the twisted pairs from external noise and helps maintain stable data transmission across longer runs. Its Category 6 performance supports Gigabit Ethernet and other applications that demand reliable bandwidth and low crosstalk.

Advantages

This Cat6 HP-FTP cable provides improved shielding compared to unshielded cables, lowering susceptibility to electromagnetic interference from nearby electrical equipment and cabling. The 20 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices in larger rooms or between network equipment racks without intermediate patch panels. The grey jacket provides a neutral aesthetic suitable for visible installations while maintaining standard flexibility for routing through conduits and cable trays.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet links in offices and data closets
• Home network backbones and long runs between rooms
• Connections near power lines, industrial equipment, or dense cable bundles
• Structured cabling where shielded twisted pairs are specified

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding type: F/UTP (overall foil shield, individually unshielded pairs)
• Length: 20 m
• Color: grey
• Connector type: RJ45 terminated (standard plug for Ethernet)
• Application: 1 Gbps Ethernet and compatible network protocols

How to use

Connect one RJ45-terminated end to the network device (switch, router, NIC) and the other end to the target port. Ensure that the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends and prolonged compression; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for Cat6 cabling. For installations requiring the shield to be effective, terminate the shield to a grounded metal port or shielded connector according to the equipment and site grounding practices. Test the installed link with a suitable network tester to confirm continuity, wiring order, and performance.

Recommendations

Use this HP-FTP Cat6 cable where reduced interference is important. Avoid running the cable in direct parallel with high-voltage power lines for long distances; when necessary, maintain separation or cross at right angles. For permanent structured cabling, follow local standards for grounding and shielding to ensure optimal performance.
