Καλώδιο InfiniBand/οπτικών ινών ROLINE 21158754 7 m 2x LC OM4

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 21158754 is a 7 m duplex patch cable with 2x LC connectors and OM4 multimode fibre (50 µm core). It is designed for high-speed data transfer in data centers and network backbones, supporting full-duplex communication and optimized performance for 10 Gbit/s and higher transmission rates.

Advantages

OM4 multimode fibre provides extended laser-optimized bandwidth (4700 MHz·km) that exceeds IEEE requirements for 10 Gbit/s over 300 m, enabling longer reach at higher speeds. The cable supports Ethernet, Fibre Channel and OIF standards and offers reliable performance for 1 and 10 Gbit/s today and for future 40 and 100 Gbit/s systems. The duplex 2x LC connector format ensures straightforward connection to standard transceivers and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Data centres and server racks
• Building backbone and campus backbone links
• InfiniBand and high-performance computing interconnects
• Ethernet and Fibre Channel links at 1, 10, 40 and 100 Gbit/s (where OM4 is supported)

Key specifications

• Manufacturer: ROLINE
• Manufacturer part number (MPN): 21.15.8754
• EAN: 7630049620025
• Cable length: 7 m
• Connector type: 2x LC (duplex)
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode, 50 µm core
• Laser bandwidth: 4700 MHz·km
• Full duplex: yes

How to use

Insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC port on network devices or patch panels, ensuring proper orientation and full insertion until the latch clicks. Use one strand for transmit and the other for receive to maintain full-duplex operation. Route the cable following standard fibre handling practices: avoid excessive bending, maintain minimum bend radius, and protect connectors from dust and physical damage. Verify link status and transceiver settings after installation.

Recommendations

For best performance, use OM4-compatible transceivers and maintain clean connectors. OM4 offers extended reach at 10 Gbit/s (up to approximately 550 m) and is especially suitable for shorter, high-density links in data centres and HPC environments; for lower rates (100 Mbit/s or 1 Gbit/s) OM4 performs similarly to OM2/OM3.
