ROLINE Καλώδιο InfiniBand/οπτικών ινών 1m 2x LC OM4 50µm πλήρους duplex

The ROLINE InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 1m 2x LC OM4 50µm Full duplex is a single-length multimode fibre patch cable designed for high-bandwidth network environments. It uses two LC connectors and OM4 grade multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter to provide reliable full-duplex transmission over short to medium distances. The cable is intended for use in data centers, server rooms, and high-performance computing setups where InfiniBand or fibre channel links are required.

Advantages

This 1 m OM4 multimode cable offers low insertion loss and stable signal integrity suitable for high-speed links. The LC duplex connectors provide a compact, standardized interface for modern transceivers and switch ports. OM4 fibre with a 50 µm core supports higher modal bandwidth compared with lower-grade multimode types, enabling increased reach or higher data rates in compatible systems. The fixed length and duplex configuration simplify trunking and patching tasks while minimizing clutter.

Suitable for

• Connecting InfiniBand host channel adapters to switches or switches to switches
• Linking servers, storage arrays, and high-performance computing nodes
• Patch cabling in data centre racks and network distribution panels
• Short- to medium-reach multimode fibre links where OM4 performance is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1 m
• Connector type: 2x LC duplex
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode fibre
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Transmission mode: Full duplex

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each LC connector into the corresponding LC duplex port on your transceivers, switches, or adapters, ensuring correct orientation and secure latching. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the fibre manufacturer to prevent attenuation increases. Use appropriate fibre management panels or tie methods to keep connections accessible and to reduce stress on the connectors. Test the link with an appropriate fibre tester or transceiver diagnostics to verify loss and connectivity after installation.

Recommendations

Handle fibre connectors by the boot or ferrule housing and keep protective caps on unused connectors. Avoid touching the ferrule end face; clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools before making connections. For consistent performance, match OM4 cable with OM4-rated transceivers and ensure patch cable length and routing meet your infrastructure requirements.
