The EFB Elektronik EC020200264 RJ-45 Cat8.1 15 m Grey networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed for demanding local area network installations. Compliant with the Cat8.1 specification, this 15-meter cable supports multi-gigabit and data center grade connections with transmission rates up to 40000 Mbit/s. The cable uses S/FTP (S-STP) shielding around individually twisted pairs and an overall braid to minimise crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Both ends terminate in gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for reliable contact and enhanced corrosion resistance.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 cable delivers very high bandwidth suitable for modern networking needs while maintaining signal integrity thanks to its S/FTP shielding. The gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve long-term conductivity and reduce the risk of connection issues. At 15 m length the cable provides flexibility for rack, server room, office or home installations where discreet routing and minimal signal loss are required. Its grey jacket offers a neutral appearance that blends into many environments.

Suitable for

• Server rooms and data centre uplinks
• High-speed workstations and NAS connections
• Multi-gigabit switches and routers
• Professional AV and streaming setups requiring stable high bandwidth
• Structured cabling runs in offices or home networks

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 high-performance Ethernet cable
• Cable length: 15 m
• Bandwidth / maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Shielding: S/FTP (individually shielded pairs with overall braid)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the Ethernet port of your network device (switch, router, NAS or workstation) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure that connectors are fully inserted and latched to establish a stable connection. Route the cable away from heavy electrical equipment and power lines where possible to minimise potential interference. For wall or conduit installations, check bend radius recommendations from the system environment to avoid pinching or kinking the cable.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 cable in network segments where multi-gigabit throughput and low latency are required. For optimal performance, pair with compatible Cat8-capable network hardware and avoid excessive bending or tight staples. When deploying in professional settings, label both ends to simplify maintenance and future upgrades.
