Καλώδιο δικτύου Draka Comteq Cat.6a 1m

The Draka Comteq Cat.6a 1m networking cable is a one-meter S/FTP cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and manufactured by Draka, this Cat6a cable supports up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds over short to medium runs and provides improved performance compared with lower-category cables. The cable's orange jacket gives high visibility in patch panels and cable runs, helping with identification and maintenance in dense network environments.

Advantages

This Cat.6a S/FTP cable offers enhanced shielding to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, increasing signal integrity in environments with multiple adjacent cables and electronic equipment. The factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure reliable plug-and-play connectivity and consistent electrical contact. The one-meter length provides a compact, flexible solution for patching between equipment in racks, switches, patch panels, and desktop devices while limiting excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers, and patch panels in data closets and server rooms
• High-bandwidth workstations and networked media devices
• Patch cabling for office desks and meeting rooms
• Temporary or permanent installations where visibility and identification are important

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Length: 1 meter
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall screen with individually foil-shielded twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, factory-terminated
• Color: Orange (high visibility jacket)
• Performance: Suitable for 10 Gbps Ethernet over short to medium distances

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports on network devices such as switches, routers, network interface cards, or patch panels. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive tension; maintain minimum bend radius specified by standard cabling practice to preserve performance. For installations near sources of strong electromagnetic interference, confirm connector seating and shielding continuity at patch panels or device chassis for optimal performance.

Recommendations

Use this 1m Draka Comteq Cat.6a cable for short patch runs where a visible cable color aids identification. Avoid running alongside heavy power lines for extended distances; keep within recommended bend radius and secure with appropriate cable management to prevent strain on connectors and preserve shielding effectiveness.
