Future-oriented standards and high-end quality for your network. The DIGITUS Category 6 patch cord features a copper conductor and LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheath for improved fire behaviour and low smoke emissions. The cable is PoE+ ready and fitted with a transparent red connector for easy identification of Category 6 (250 MHz).

Advantages

Manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 6 specifications, this patch cord ensures compliance with ISO & EN channel requirements and delivers stable performance up to 250 MHz, including NEXT characteristics. The molded boot provides kink protection, strain relief and an integrated latch protector to reduce risk of latch breakage.

Key specifications

• Category: 6 (Class E), performance up to 250 MHz
• Conductor material: Copper (Cu)
• Sheath: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Connector: transparent red plug for Category 6 identification
• PoE+ ready
• Test standards: ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50173
• Features: molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection

How to use

Insert the RJ45 connector into the corresponding port until the latch clicks into place. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension to preserve the molded boot and conductor integrity. The LSZH sheath allows installation in areas with stricter fire and smoke requirements; observe local regulations for cable routing and power-over-Ethernet usage.

Recommendations

For reliable network performance, use DIGITUS Category 6 patch cords within cabling channels tested to ISO/EN specifications and avoid exceeding 250 MHz rated applications. Replace damaged connectors or boots to maintain signal integrity and PoE+ compatibility.
