InLine καλώδιο SAS εσωτερικό, Mini-SAS SFF-8087 σε Mini-SAS SFF-8087, με Sideband, 0,5 m

This InLine Mini-SAS SFF-8087 to Mini-SAS SFF-8087 cable (0.5 m) is designed for internal SAS connections in servers and storage enclosures. It provides a single-cable connection between a controller and a backplane or between two internal Mini-SAS ports, supporting high-speed data transfer and sideband signaling for management or additional control lines.

Advantages

The cable uses SFF-8087 Mini-SAS connectors on both ends and supports reliable multi-lane SAS connections in compact server environments. Its 0.5 m length reduces signal loss and clutter inside chassis while maintaining compatibility with standard Mini-SAS ports. The sideband feature enables auxiliary communication without requiring separate wiring.

Suitable for

• Connecting a backplane with multiple HDDs to a SAS controller
• Internal connections between SAS-equipped servers and storage enclosures
• Short-reach cable runs inside rack-mounted chassis

How to use

Power down the system before connecting internal cables. Insert one SFF-8087 connector into the controller or host port and the other into the target backplane or Mini-SAS port until the connector latches. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it clear of fans and heat sources. After securing the connections, power up the system and verify that the controller recognises attached devices.

Recommendations

Use this 0.5 m Mini-SAS SFF-8087 cable for short internal connections to minimise signal degradation. Ensure connectors are free of debris and handle the cable by the connector housings to avoid strain on the contacts.
