InLine καλώδιο Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 σε 4x SFF-8482 + τροφοδοσία 0,5 m

This internal Mini SAS HD cable connects a device with a Mini SAS HD 4i (SFF-8643) interface to devices or backplanes using SAS SFF-8482 connectors and provides integrated power lines. The InLine Mini SAS HD Cable SFF-8643 to 4x SFF-8482 + Power 0.5m has a 0.5 m length and is intended for internal server and storage installations where dense multi-drive connectivity is required.

Advantages

The cable offers a compact 0.5 m length for tidy internal routing, supports four SFF-8482 device connections from a single SFF-8643 port, and includes power wiring to feed connected SAS drives or backplanes. Its black jacket and standard connectors ensure compatibility with common Mini SAS HD controllers and HDD backplanes, enabling high-speed SAS data transfer and reliable mechanical mating.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting a Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) controller to up to four SAS drives with SFF-8482 connectors
• Linking server backplanes or drive cages to SAS host bus adapters
• Internal cable routing in rack servers, storage arrays, and workstations

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.5 m
• Connector A: Mini SAS HD 4i (SFF-8643)
• Connector B: 4 × SAS SFF-8482 with power
• Colour: Black

How to use

Power off the system before installation. Plug the SFF-8643 end into the Mini SAS HD port on the controller or HBA, and connect the four SFF-8482 connectors to the corresponding drive or backplane connectors, ensuring correct orientation and secure seating. Route the cable inside the chassis to avoid obstructing fans or airflow and verify that the power pins align when connecting drives that require integrated power. After connections are secured, power on the system and check that the drives are detected by the controller.

Recommendations

Use this internal Mini SAS HD cable for short-distance internal connections only. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force, keep the cable clear of moving fans and hot components, and confirm connector compatibility (SFF-8643 to SFF-8482 with power) with your controller and drives before installation.
