Καλώδιο Adaptec ACK-I-rA-HDmSAS-4SATA-SB-.8M 0,8 m

The Adaptec ACK-I-rA-HDmSAS-4SATA-SB-.8M is a 0.8 m internal right-angle fan-out cable that adapts a Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) 4-lane (x4) connector to four individual SATA 1-lane (x1) connectors. It includes sideband signal support (SFF-8448) and is intended for connecting a SAS/SATA host adapter or backplane to multiple SATA drives within a server or workstation chassis.

Advantages

This adapter cable provides a compact right-angle HD connector to save space in tight server configurations and delivers four separate SATA connections from a single Mini SAS HD port. The integrated sideband support maintains necessary control signaling for compatible backplanes, while the 0.8 m length offers flexibility for internal routing without excess cable clutter. The cable is designed to meet standard connector types for straightforward interoperability with ADAPTEC adapters and common SATA drives.

Suitable for

• Connecting a SAS/SATA host adapter to multiple SATA hard drives or SSDs
• Linking a Mini SAS HD port on a RAID controller to a drive backplane
• Internal cable routing in servers, storage enclosures, or workstations with limited space

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.8 m
• Connector 1: Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643), right-angle, x4
• Connector 2: Four x1 Serial ATA (SATA) connectors
• Sideband signals: SFF-8448 support
• Brand: ADAPTEC; MPN: 2280000-R; EAN: 760884157060

How to use

Power off the system before installing the cable. Connect the Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) right-angle plug to the host adapter or controller port, ensuring proper orientation and seating. Route the cable inside the chassis to reach the target drives, then attach each SATA x1 connector to the respective drive SATA data port. Recheck connections and clear any obstructions before powering the system back on. Verify drive detection in the controller firmware or operating system after boot.

Recommendations

Use the cable for internal connections only; avoid excessive bending near the connectors and maintain the cable length suited to the chassis layout. Confirm controller and backplane compatibility with SFF-8643 to 4x SATA fan-out adapters and ensure proper airflow and cable management inside the enclosure.
