Δορυφορικός πολυδιακόπτης Kathrein VWS 2900

The Kathrein VWS 2900 is a compact satellite multiswitch designed to distribute satellite signals from one input to eight outputs. It covers a wide frequency range of 950–2150 MHz and includes a built-in power supply with spare LNB power of 500 mA. The unit supports a terrestrial frequency range of 47–862 MHz and delivers an output level up to 104 dBµV, suitable for small to medium multiswitch installations.

Advantages

The multiswitch offers a combined satellite and terrestrial distribution capability in a single housing, with a broad satellite frequency range (950–2150 MHz) and reliable LNB feeding with 500 mA spare power. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for installation in cabinets or on mounting plates, and the integrated power supply simplifies system wiring.

How to use

Mount the Kathrein VWS 2900 in a suitable location such as a distribution cabinet or on a wall bracket. Connect the incoming satellite dish cable to the satellite input and the terrestrial antenna to the terrestrial input. Connect up to eight receiver cables to the output ports. Ensure the unit is connected to mains power (198–253 V) so the integrated power supply can feed the LNB. Verify signal levels at each output and adjust downstream equipment as required.

Recommendations

Use appropriate coaxial cables and connectors to minimize loss; perform signal level measurements after installation to confirm adequate levels at all outlets. Ensure the spare LNB power of 500 mA is sufficient for your LNB configuration before relying on the multiswitch for powering the dish.
