Dexlan Καλώδιο δικτύου 858707 0,3 m Cat6a S/FTP Κίτρινο

The Dexlan networking cable 858707 is a 0.3 meter Cat6a S/FTP patch cable in yellow, designed for short-reach connections between network devices. It supports the Cat6a specification for high-speed data transmission and incorporates S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Both ends are terminated with standard RJ-45 connectors suitable for switches, routers, patch panels and network interface ports.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to provide improved protection against external noise and internal crosstalk, helping maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. The Cat6a rating enables performance up to 10 Gbps over shorter distances, and the short 0.3 m length reduces latency and clutter in densely packed racks or patch panels. The yellow jacket provides clear visual identification for cable management and rapid troubleshooting.

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end of the cable to the network port of your device (for example a switch, router or server) and the other end to the corresponding port on the patch panel or another network device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until a click is felt to establish a reliable connection. Use the short 0.3 m length where devices are in close proximity to avoid excess slack and improve rack airflow. Inspect the cable and connectors for visible damage before use.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, install the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain bend radius recommended for twisted-pair cables and keep the cable clear of strong electromagnetic sources. Use colour-coding to simplify network documentation and troubleshooting. For permanent or long-distance runs, consider selecting cables with appropriate length and installation-grade jackets.
