BlueOptics ASRA-BO Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών InfiniBand 15 m 2x LC LC/APC

The BlueOptics ASRA-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15 m 2x LC LC/APC is a duplex multimode cable designed for high-speed data transmission in networking environments. Constructed with OM3 multimode fibre and 50 µm core diameter, this 15-metre cable provides full-duplex connectivity via two LC connectors on each end, with APC polish to reduce back reflections where applicable. It is intended for short- to medium-reach links in data centres, server rooms and high-performance computing clusters where low latency and consistent signal quality are required.

Advantages

The cable combines OM3 multimode performance with LC connectors to support high data rates and reliable InfiniBand links. Its 15 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections without excess slack. The duplex design enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels, and the APC polish on connectors helps minimise return loss. The multimode construction and 50 µm core are compatible with common multimode transceivers and installed multimode infrastructures.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 15 m OM3 cable by aligning the LC connectors with the corresponding LC ports on your InfiniBand adapters, switches or transceivers, ensuring correct orientation for transmit and receive channels. Gently insert the LC plugs until they click into place and verify link status on connected equipment. Route the cable to avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre to prevent signal degradation. For APC-polished connectors, avoid rotating contacts against each other and ensure connector endfaces are clean before mating.

Recommendations

Regularly inspect and, if necessary, clean LC connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before making connections. Use cable management to secure the 15 m run and prevent kinks or sharp bends. Match the OM3 multimode cable with compatible multimode transceivers and InfiniBand equipment to achieve expected performance.
