Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών Helos 1m OM3 LC/LC

The Helos 1m OM3 LC/LC fibre optic cable is built for high-speed multimode data transmission over short to medium distances. Featuring a 50 µm core diameter and matched LC connectors on both ends, this 1-metre cable supports full-duplex communication and is suitable for modern network infrastructures that require low loss and stable signal integrity. Its OM3 specification enables support for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and other high-bandwidth applications in data center and enterprise environments.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers predictable optical performance with reduced modal dispersion thanks to its OM3-rated multimode core. The LC/LC connector configuration provides a compact, reliable connection suited for high-density patch panels and transceiver ports. The 1 m length reduces excess cable slack in rack installations and helps maintain tidy cable management while preserving signal quality. The cable’s construction is designed for flexibility and repeated mating cycles.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, patch panels and transceivers in data centres
• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links and other high-bandwidth multimode applications
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch short-range connections
• High-density rack and cabinet environments with LC ports

Key specifications

• Cable type: Multimode optical fibre
• OM rating: OM3 (laser-optimized multimode)
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC (both ends)
• Length: 1 metre
• Transmission: Full-duplex
• Typical applications: 10GbE and other high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each LC connector into the corresponding LC port on network equipment or patch panels; ensure connectors are aligned and fully seated until a click is felt. Avoid touching the ferrule endfaces and use dust caps when connectors are not in use. Route the cable through cable management channels to prevent tight bends and maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius. Test the link with appropriate optical test equipment after installation to verify loss and continuity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep connector endfaces clean and use appropriate cleaning tools before mating. Use this 1 m OM3 LC/LC cable for short-range, high-speed multimode links inside racks and between adjacent equipment; avoid using it for long-distance singlemode applications.
