Switch 5-Port LogiLink NS200 Fast Ethernet

The LogiLink NS200 Fast Ethernet 5-port switch provides simple, reliable network expansion for home and small office environments. Designed with a compact metal/plastic housing and five 10/100 Mbps ports, it enables wired connections for multiple devices such as PCs, printers, IP cameras and network-attached storage. The unit operates as a plug-and-play device, requiring no configuration, and uses store-and-forward switching to forward frames efficiently while minimizing collisions on busy segments.

Advantages

The switch delivers dependable 10/100 Mbps connectivity across five ports while maintaining a small footprint suitable for limited desk or shelf space. Energy-efficient design reduces power consumption during low activity, and auto-negotiation with connected devices provides optimal speed and duplex settings automatically. LEDs on the front panel indicate link/activity and speed status for quick troubleshooting without specialized tools.

Suitable for

• Expanding wired networks for home offices and small businesses
• Connecting desktop computers, printers and NAS devices
• Providing additional ports for wireless access points or IP cameras
• Temporary network setups for small events or meetings

Key specifications

• 5 x 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet ports with auto MDI/MDIX
• Store-and-forward switching architecture
• Auto-negotiation for speed and duplex settings
• LED indicators for power, link/activity and speed per port
• Compact form factor intended for desktop placement
• Low power consumption and energy-efficient operation

How to use

Install the LogiLink NS200 on a stable surface near your router or main switch. Connect the included power adapter to an appropriate outlet and plug the power connector into the switch. Use standard Ethernet cables to connect LAN devices to the RJ45 ports; the auto MDI/MDIX feature removes the need for crossover cables. After powering up, verify link LEDs to confirm active connections. No additional configuration or driver installation is required for typical operation.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated area and avoid stacking other equipment directly on top to maintain airflow. For optimal performance, connect high-bandwidth devices to separate ports and consider network segmentation via a router when bandwidth management or security policies are needed. Regularly inspect cables and connectors for wear and replace damaged cables to prevent intermittent connectivity.
