NETGEAR GS116 Unmanaged L2 Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) μαύρο

The NETGEAR GS116 is an unmanaged L2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 16 RJ-45 ports designed to expand wired networks with reliable, non-blocking gigabit throughput. It supports IEEE networking standards and comes in a durable metal case with desktop or wall-mount options for flexible installation.

Advantages

The switch delivers true gigabit speed at a non-blocking rate and supports Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) to reduce power consumption during light traffic or idle links. Its fanless design ensures silent operation, and the plug-and-play, unmanaged setup requires no software installation or configuration. The metal chassis provides rugged, long-lasting performance.

Suitable for

• Small office and home office networks that need additional Gigabit ports
• Environments requiring quiet equipment (meeting rooms, classrooms, reception areas)
• Basic network expansion where unmanaged switching and simple installation are preferred

How to use

Place the GS116 on a flat surface or mount it to a wall using the supplied hardware. Connect each network device to the switch using standard Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher recommended for Gigabit). Plug the power adapter into the switch and an AC outlet; the switch will power up and begin forwarding traffic automatically without any configuration.

Recommendations

For optimal Gigabit performance, use Cat5e or Cat6 cables and connect to devices with Gigabit-capable NICs. Ensure adequate ventilation around the metal housing despite the fanless design to allow passive cooling. This unmanaged switch is intended for straightforward network expansion and not for advanced managed features or VLAN segmentation.
