The c.k tools MightyRod PRO 1 m Spira-FLEX rod with a 4 mm diameter is a flexible cable pulling rod designed for routing and installing cables in conduits, ducts and other confined spaces. Its spiral-flex construction provides a balance of flexibility to negotiate bends and stiffness to transmit push force, helping to guide and align wires during electrical and low-voltage installations. The 1 m length makes it suitable for short runs, patching or use in combination with multiple rods for longer pulls.

Advantages

The Spira-FLEX design offers improved maneuverability through curved sections while maintaining sufficient pushability to advance cable runs. The 4 mm diameter keeps the rod slim enough for tight conduits yet robust enough for repeated use. The rod’s construction reduces the need to force cables, lowering the risk of damage to insulation and saving installation time. Compatibility with standard connectors and end fittings enables simple attachment of pulling eyes or guide heads.

How to use

Choose the appropriate end fitting for the cable type and attach a pulling eye or guide head. Insert the rod into the conduit and advance it while rotating slightly to navigate bends; the spiral-flex construction helps the rod follow curved routes. Once the rod reaches the destination, secure the cable to the rod’s end fitting and carefully pull the cable back through the conduit. For longer distances, connect additional rods according to the manufacturer’s instructions and confirm secure coupling before applying force.

Recommendations

Inspect the rod for visible damage before each use and avoid sharp kinks. Use gloves to improve grip and protect hands when pushing or extracting the rod. Combine multiple rods for extended runs and use appropriate end fittings for the cable diameter to prevent snagging. Store the rod in a dry, temperate location to maintain material resilience.
