How to use

Insert the S-RJ01 module into a compatible Gigabit SFP slot until it latches. Connect a standard RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the module and the remote device. The module is hot-pluggable so it can be installed or removed while the host device is powered on; ensure the host device supports SFP copper modules. Configure the network settings on your switch or router as required; physical link negotiation will handle speed and duplex settings with compatible devices.

Recommendations

Use Cat5e or better unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling for reliable Gigabit performance up to 100 metres. Avoid installing the module in environments outside the specified case temperature range (0°C to +85°C).
