The Microconnect HDM191817 is a 7 m HDMI to DVI‑D video cable adapter designed for connecting devices with HDMI and DVI‑D ports, such as notebooks, monitors and desktop PCs. The cable has a 7.3 mm diameter, a black jacket and a total weight of approximately 360 g. It is RoHS compliant and intended for reliable digital video signal transmission between compatible devices.

Advantages

This HDMI to DVI‑D cable supports direct digital video transfer between HDMI and DVI‑D interfaces without the need for signal conversion equipment. Its 7 m length provides flexibility for installations where devices are separated by moderate distances. The cable’s construction and standard connectors ensure compatibility with a wide range of displays and source devices while meeting RoHS environmental requirements.

Suitable for

• Connecting a notebook to a DVI‑D monitor
• Linking a PC graphics card with an HDMI output to a DVI‑D display
• Home or office AV setups where HDMI and DVI‑D ports must be bridged

Key specifications

• Cable length: 7 m
• Connector 1: HDMI
• Connector 2: DVI‑D
• Diameter: 7.3 mm
• Weight: 0.36 kg

• RoHS: compliant

How to use

Connect the HDMI end to the source device (for example a notebook or PC) and the DVI‑D end to the display device. Ensure both devices are powered on and set the display input to the DVI source if required. The cable is bidirectional for digital video signals, but note that DVI‑D carries video only; for audio use a separate audio connection if needed.

Recommendations

Route the cable away from strong electromagnetic interference sources and avoid sharp bends to maintain signal integrity. For audio needs, pair this cable with an appropriate audio connection, since DVI‑D does not carry audio signals.
