Lenovo 5m OM3 LC InfiniBand/καλώδιο οπτικών ινών

The Lenovo 5m OM3 LC fibre optic cable provides reliable high-speed connectivity for data center and server environments. At five metres in length and fitted with LC connectors on both ends, this OM3-rated multimode cable supports high bandwidth transmission with low signal attenuation, suitable for connecting switches, routers and servers where stable fibre links are required.

Advantages

The OM3 multimode construction delivers enhanced bandwidth for short- to medium-range links while LC connectors offer compact, industry-standard termination. A five-metre length balances reach and cable management in rack and cabinet installations, and compatibility with common networking equipment ensures interoperability in structured cabling and high-performance computing setups.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches and routers in data centers
• Server-to-switch or server-to-router links in racks
• High-performance computing clusters and SAN environments
• Structured cabling runs requiring multimode OM3 performance

Key specifications

• Brand: Lenovo
• Model / MPN: 00MN508
• EAN: 883436656108
• Type: Fibre optic cable, multimode OM3
• Connector: LC to LC
• Length: 5 m

How to use

Route the fibre cable through the rack or cable management channels to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress. Remove protective dust caps from the LC connectors only when ready to connect, then insert each LC connector into the corresponding LC port on the networking devices until it clicks into place. Verify link status on connected devices and perform any required optical power or continuity tests to confirm signal integrity.

Recommendations

Handle the OM3 fibre with care: avoid tight bends (adhere to the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius), keep connector endfaces clean with appropriate fibre-cleaning tools, and store unused connectors with dust caps to maintain performance and reliability.
