Καλώδιο Patch S/FTP Draka Comteq Cat6 μπλε 15 m

The Draka Comteq S/FTP Patch Cable Cat6 in blue, 15 meters long, is a shielded Ethernet patch lead designed for high-speed data transmission in structured cabling and local area networks. The cable features S/FTP construction — an overall braided shield combined with individually foil-wrapped pairs — to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. At 15 m length and Cat6 performance, it supports reliable connectivity for network endpoints where moderate to long patching runs are required, while the blue jacket provides clear visual identification in patch panels and cable runs.

Advantages

The S/FTP design provides enhanced protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple electrical or data cables. Cat6 specification ensures support for higher data rates and bandwidth compared to lower category cables. The 15 m length offers flexibility for desk-to-switch and rack-to-equipment connections without additional couplers. The blue outer sheath is durable and easy to trace during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting workstations, routers, switches and patch panels in offices and data rooms
• Structured cabling links where EMI protection is required
• Audio/video streaming and VoIP endpoints that demand stable throughput
• Temporary or permanent cabling runs between racks and equipment

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance level suitable for gigabit networks
• Shielding: S/FTP — braided overall shield with individually foil-wrapped pairs
• Length: 15 meters
• Color: blue outer jacket for identification
• Conductor type: twisted pairs, stranded conductors for flexibility
• Connector type: RJ45 connectors at both ends for standard Ethernet ports
• Typical applications: Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, PoE-compatible cabling

How to use

Route the S/FTP patch cable between the two network endpoints ensuring connectors are fully inserted into RJ45 ports until the latch clicks. Avoid tight bends and kinks close to the connector areas to maintain cable performance; follow minimum bend radius recommendations when passing through racks or conduits. If installing in an environment with potential electromagnetic sources, orient cable runs to minimize parallel runs alongside power lines and use the shield termination at patch panels or protective grounding points when required by the installation practice.

Recommendations

For best performance, use shielded patch panels or shielded connectors when terminating S/FTP cables to preserve the shielding continuity. Test the installed link with a network cable tester or certification tool appropriate for Cat6 to verify connectivity and signal quality after installation.
