Fiber Optic Duplex Patch Cable ShiverPeaks 77809 LC-SC 9/125µm OS1/OS2 2.0 m is a single-mode duplex patch lead with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other. The cable uses 9/125 µm single-mode fiber rated for OS1/OS2 performance, with a 2.0 m length that suits short interconnects in racks, patch panels and equipment rooms. Designed to maintain low insertion loss and consistent signal quality, this duplex cable supports bidirectional optical links and standard connector interfaces for telecommunication and data center environments.

Advantages

This duplex patch cable offers low attenuation, stable single‑mode performance and compatibility with commonly used LC and SC connectors. The 9/125 µm fiber construction ensures single‑mode transmission characteristics suitable for longer reach links when used within OS1/OS2 parameters. The mixed LC‑to‑SC configuration provides flexible connectivity between equipment with different port types without adapters, simplifying trunking and patching tasks.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting single‑mode network equipment in telecom racks and data centers
• Patch panels and patching shelves requiring LC to SC connections
• Optical test setups and measurement benches for single‑mode fiber
• Short trunk runs where a 2.0 m duplex lead is required

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single‑mode 9/125 µm
• Optical class: OS1/OS2
• Configuration: duplex
• Connectors: LC (one end) to SC (other end)
• Length: 2.0 m
• Cable colour: yellow (single‑mode standard)

How to use

Route the duplex cable between devices ensuring the LC and SC connectors are inserted into matching ports with correct orientation. Handle connectors by their housings and avoid touching the fiber endfaces. Before insertion, clean connector endfaces with an appropriate fiber cleaning tool and inspect for contamination. Align and insert the SC connector until a positive latching click is felt and insert the LC connector until it seats properly. Avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius along the cable run.

Recommendations

For reliable long‑term performance, keep the connectors capped when not in use, use dust caps during storage, and perform regular visual inspection and cleaning of endfaces. When deploying in structured cabling, label each duplex lead to indicate direction and endpoints to simplify troubleshooting and future changes.
