Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών ShiverPeaks 77909/4 2m SC ST Βιολετί

The ShiverPeaks 77909/4 2m SC ST Violet is an OM4 multimode fibre optic cable designed for high-speed, short-to-medium range data transmission. It has a 50 µm core diameter and carries signals in full duplex using SC and ST connectors on each end. The violet jacket color makes cable identification easier in complex installations while the 2 meter length suits rack-to-rack, patch panel or equipment connections within server rooms and network closets.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable delivers higher bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, supporting reliable high-speed links. The combination of SC and ST connectors offers compatibility with a broad range of networking equipment and patch panels. The 2 m length reduces excess cable slack in dense installations, and the violet jacket improves visual management and identification in cable bundles.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting switches, patch panels and servers in data centers and server rooms
• Short-distance backbone and aggregation links within buildings
• Telecommunications closets and campus network connections
• Laboratory and test-bench fibre measurements requiring OM4 performance

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Cable length: 2 m
• Connector types: SC to ST (one end SC, other end ST)
• Duplex mode: Full duplex
• Jacket color: Violet

How to use

Ensure both ends of the fibre and their mating adapters are clean before installation to maintain signal integrity. Insert the SC connector into an SC adapter or port with proper alignment until it clicks; insert the ST connector by aligning the bayonet-style plug, pushing in and twisting to lock. Route the cable with gentle bends, avoiding sharp kinks and maintaining the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Secure the cable in racks or trays to prevent strain on the connectors and to maintain consistent optical performance.

Recommendations

Use this OM4 cable for short to medium range links where higher multimode bandwidth is required. Keep dust caps on unused connectors, avoid bending beyond the recommended radius, and perform optical power and continuity tests after installation to verify link performance.
