Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών S/CONN ShiverPeaks 77932/4 5m LC ST

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 77932/4 is a 5 m OM4 multimode fibre optic patch cable terminated with an LC connector on one end and an ST connector on the other. With a 50 µm core diameter designed for OM4 performance, the cable supports full-duplex data transmission and is intended for high-speed networking links in structured cabling environments. The 5 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or rack-to-equipment connections while maintaining the signal quality expected from OM4 multimode fibre.

Advantages

This multimode fibre cable offers low insertion loss and good return-loss performance typical for OM4 fibres with a 50 µm core, enabling reliable short- to medium-distance connections. The mixed LC–ST termination provides compatibility with equipment that uses either small-form-factor LC ports or legacy ST interfaces, reducing the need for adapters. The 5 metre length balances reach and cable management convenience for data centres, telecom rooms and network closets.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centres and telecom rooms
• Linking equipment with LC ports to devices with ST ports without additional adapters
• High-speed short- to medium-range multimode links using OM4 fibre
• Structured cabling runs inside racks, cabinets and network enclosures

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 5 metres
• Connectors: LC on one end, ST on the other end
• Transmission: full-duplex

How to use

Inspect both connectors and ports for dust or damage before insertion. Use the LC connector to plug into devices or transceivers with LC ports and insert the ST connector into compatible ST receptacles, ensuring a secure and correctly aligned connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the recommended minimum bend radius for OM4 multimode fibre to preserve optical performance. For everyday handling, use dust caps when the cable is disconnected.

Recommendations

For best results, clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools prior to mating and avoid tight bends or kinks. Use this OM4 cable for short- to medium-distance links and combine it with equipment rated for multimode fibre to achieve expected data rates and low error rates.
