Καλώδιο οπτικών ινών S/CONN ShiverPeaks 07-530815 15 m

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN 07-530815 is a 15 m OM5 fibre optic cable equipped with LC and SC connectors. With a 50 µm core diameter and full duplex configuration, this cable is designed for high-speed data transmission and low signal attenuation over moderate distances. Its OM5 multimode classification supports enhanced bandwidth for wavelength division multiplexing in modern data center and enterprise network environments.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers consistent duplex performance and low insertion loss thanks to standardized LC and SC terminations. The OM5 multimode core provides improved modal bandwidth compared with lower multimode grades, enabling better support for shortwave wavelength division multiplexing applications. A 15 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections while maintaining signal integrity and minimizing the need for additional patching hardware.

Suitable for

• Data center interconnects and rack-to-rack links
• High-performance computing clusters
• Telecommunications and enterprise network backbones
• Shortwave wavelength-division multiplexing (SWDM) deployments

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 15 m
• Connector A: LC
• Connector B: SC
• Mode: Full duplex
• Application: Short- to medium-range high-speed links

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation and clean them with an appropriate fibre cleaning tool to prevent signal loss. Route the cable following bend radius guidelines for multimode fibre and secure it to avoid sharp bends or mechanical stress. Plug the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port of the corresponding transceivers or patch panels, ensuring proper alignment for duplex transmission. Verify link status and perform optical power or attenuation tests as part of commissioning.

Recommendations

Store and handle the OM5 cable to avoid contamination of connectors and maintain bend radius. Use compatible multimode transceivers and patch panels for optimal performance. For installations requiring multiple wavelength channels, verify transceiver and system compatibility with OM5 SWDM applications to achieve intended data rates and stability.
