The BlueOptics 7Z57A03571-BO is a 20 m MPO fibre optic cable designed for high-speed data transmission in data centers and enterprise networks. This OM4 multimode cable uses MPO connectors on both ends to support parallel optics and high-density patching. The cable features laser-optimized multimode fibre for improved bandwidth and an LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) sheath for reduced smoke and no halogen release in case of fire.

Advantages

The BlueOptics MPO OM4 cable delivers low attenuation and high return loss values to support reliable optical links with minimal signal degradation over short to medium distances. Manufactured with branded multimode fibres and ceramic ferrule connectors, the cable is tested with interferometer and OTDR and supplied with measurement results for input loss and return loss. The LSZH jacket increases safety in enclosed environments and the MPO connector format enables high port density and simplified multi-fibre connections.

Suitable for

• Data center trunking and parallel optics (e.g., 40G/100G applications using MPO-based transceivers)
• Interconnection between patch panels and high-density switch ports
• Short to medium-range multimode links inside buildings and wiring closets
• Environments requiring low-smoke, halogen-free cabling

Key specifications

• Cable length: 20 m
• Fibre type: OM4 multimode (laser-optimized)
• Connector type: MPO to MPO
• Sheath material: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen)
• Tested for input loss and return loss; supplied with measurement protocol
• Manufactured to Telcordia GR-326-Core requirements and industry norms

How to use

Install the BlueOptics MPO OM4 cable by aligning and inserting the MPO connectors into compatible MPO ports on transceivers, cassette modules or patch panels. Ensure connector keys and polarity are correct for the intended channel mapping. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. For best performance, keep connector endfaces clean and inspect or clean them with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating.

Recommendations

Use this MPO OM4 cable for high-density multimode links and parallel optical setups. Verify MPO polarity and MPO pinning when connecting multiple strands or cassette modules. Store and handle the cable to avoid mechanical stress and follow standard fibre safety and handling practices. For critical links, refer to the supplied test protocol and consider end-to-end testing after installation.
