Καλώδιο InfiniBand/οπτικών ινών S/CONN 1m SC - ST ShiverPeaks

The S/CONN 1m SC - ST InfiniBand/fibre optic cable ShiverPeaks is a 1 metre duplex patchcord engineered for high-speed, full-duplex fibre connections. It uses OM2 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and SC to ST terminations to link networking equipment that requires reliable optical transmission. The jacket is halogen-free, and the cable is intended for indoor networking environments where performance and material safety are important.

Advantages

This fibre optic patchcord provides stable full-duplex data transfer suitable for InfiniBand and other high-bandwidth applications. The OM2 50/125 µm multimode construction supports common multimode transceiver standards and simplifies installation with standardized SC and ST connectors. The halogen-free jacket reduces toxic fume emissions in case of fire and meets safety considerations for enclosed spaces.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects and server rack patching
• InfiniBand links and high-bandwidth storage networks
• LAN backbone and floor-to-rack optical connections
• Testing and measurement setups requiring short multimode runs

Key specifications

• Length: 1 metre duplex
• Fibre type: OM2 multimode
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector types: SC to ST
• Transmission: full duplex optical link
• Jacket: halogen-free material
• Application: short-range multimode optical connections

How to use

Connect the SC plug to the corresponding SC receptacle and the ST plug to the matching ST port, ensuring correct orientation and secure engagement. Use the cable for short-distance multimode links within racks or between adjacent equipment cabinets. Avoid bending the cable below the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius and keep connector endfaces clean to maintain low insertion loss and return loss. When routing, secure the cable to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating, avoid tight bends and sharp kinks, and route the halogen-free patchcord away from heat sources. Use this 1 m SC–ST duplex cable for short multimode runs inside racks or between nearby network devices where OM2 performance is sufficient.
