Καλώδιο δικτύου ShiverPeaks Cat.6 S/FTP 0,5 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat.6 S/FTP 0.5m networking cable is a short patch cord designed for connecting network devices where space is limited. It supports Cat6 performance with S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity for high-speed data transmission. The cable uses gold-plated RJ-45 connectors for stable contacts and the bright yellow jacket provides easy identification within cable runs.

Advantages

This Cat.6 S/FTP cable delivers consistent signal quality through individual pair foil shielding combined with an overall braided shield, which lowers crosstalk and external noise. Its gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance. At 0.5 meters length the cable minimizes excess slack and clutter in patch panels, switches, and desktop connections. The visible yellow jacket aids quick visual identification and routing in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network equipment (switch to patch panel, switch to router, wall outlet to device)
• Data centers and server racks where short, shielded links are required
• Workstations and AV setups needing Cat6 performance with reduced interference
• Environments with nearby electrical equipment where shielding improves stability

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus foil on individual pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.5 m
• Cable jacket color: yellow
• Intended use: Ethernet network patch cable for up to Gigabit Ethernet and typical Cat6 applications

How to use

Plug the gold-plated RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices, ensuring secure seating until the latch clicks. Use the 0.5 m cable for connections where minimal length is needed to avoid excess cabling. For shielded links to perform correctly, ensure that connected equipment and patch panels support proper grounding of the shield. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; the jacket is flexible but should not be kinked to maintain performance.

Recommendations

For optimal shield performance, connect both ends to shielded ports or patch panels with proper grounding. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines for long distances; if crossing is necessary, do so at right angles. Use the short 0.5 m length to reduce clutter in racks and on desktops while maintaining Cat6 signal quality.
