The ShiverPeaks BS75111-0.25W 0.25m Cat5e F/UTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections between devices. It uses the Cat5e performance class and a foil-shielded unshielded twisted pair (F/UTP) construction to reduce external electromagnetic interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and finished in white, this cable is intended for short-distance links in home, office, or equipment-rack environments.

Advantages

This 0.25m Cat5e cable provides stable data transmission for gigabit-capable networks over short distances while the foil shielding helps minimise interference from nearby electrical sources. The compact length reduces cable clutter and is suitable for patching between adjacent ports or connecting devices in close proximity. Molded RJ-45 connectors ensure secure plug-in retention and correct conductor alignment for reliable signal integrity.

Suitable for

• Connecting a computer or laptop to a nearby switch or router
• Patch panel to switch short links in racks or cabinets
• Linking networked devices in home entertainment or office desks
• Temporary test connections and troubleshooting in network setups

Key specifications

• Length: 0.25 m
• Category: Cat5e
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil shield around all pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: White

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the Ethernet ports of the devices you want to connect, ensuring the clip engages to secure the connection. Use the cable for short links where 0.25 m is sufficient, avoiding overstretching or bending sharply near the connector. For best performance, keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources and secure it so it does not place strain on device ports.

Recommendations

Use this cable for close-proximity connections such as patch panel to switch or desktop to switch links. Replace the cable if the connector housing is damaged or if performance issues appear. For longer runs or environments with higher interference, consider higher-category or shielded alternatives as appropriate.
