The ShiverPeaks BS75111-0.25 0.25m Cat5e F/UTP is a short networking patch cable designed for stable data connections in compact installations. Meeting Cat5e performance parameters, the cable uses F/UTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity. Both ends are fitted with standard RJ-45 connectors, and the grey outer jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for visible or limited-space routing.

Advantages

The F/UTP shielded construction minimizes crosstalk and external interference, improving throughput and connection stability in environments with nearby electrical equipment. The 0.25 m length reduces excess cable clutter and helps maintain tidy cable management in racks, patch panels, switches, and workstations. RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with a wide range of network devices and sockets.

Suitable for

• Connecting nearby network devices where a short patch lead is required
• Patch panels and switch ports in dense rack environments
• Workstations or network appliances in compact office setups
• Temporary connections during setup and testing of network equipment

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e standard suitable for up to 100 MHz
• Shielding: F/UTP (foil-screened overall with unshielded pairs)
• Length: 0.25 m (short patch cable)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Outer colour: Grey

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding network ports until a click confirms engagement. Use the 0.25 m cable to bridge devices located close to each other such as a switch to a patch panel or a router to a nearby appliance. Avoid sharp bends at the connector ends and do not overstretch the cable to preserve connector integrity and shielding performance.

Recommendations

For best results, route the cable away from high-voltage power lines and large inductive loads to minimize residual interference. Use this short Cat5e F/UTP cable when a tidy, low-profile connection is needed; for longer runs choose an appropriately rated Cat5e or higher cable with adequate shielding.
