Network Cable ROLINE S/FTP (PiMF) Patch Cord RJ-45 Cat.6 15 m Grey is a prepared Cat.6 patch cable designed for networking connections between devices. The cable uses a 4-pair stranded copper conductor with pairwise aluminium-clad polyester foil shielding and a full braided shield (S/FTP / PiMF) to reduce electromagnetic interference. Both ends are fitted with screened RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts and moulded kink protection; contact wiring is 1:1 according to EIA/TIA 568.

Advantages

The cable provides complete braid shielding and individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated contacts enhance contact reliability and corrosion resistance. The moulded kink protection and flexible sheath allow narrow bending radii while maintaining durability over repeated handling. Prepared screened RJ-45 connectors ensure straightforward installation without additional termination.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between computers, switches and routers
• Office and home network installations requiring Cat.6 performance
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat.6
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 — screened on both ends
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + pair foil, PiMF)
• Conductor: 4‑pair stranded copper
• Contact plating: Gold
• Wiring: 1:1 per EIA/TIA 568
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Plug one screened RJ-45 connector into the network port of a device and the other connector into the switch, router or wall socket. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable without sharp kinks; the moulded kink protection allows flexible bends but avoid excessive tension. For best performance, keep the cable away from strong sources of electrical noise and avoid bundling with power cables over long distances.

Recommendations

For reliable Cat.6 performance, use this S/FTP patch cord for short to medium runs (typical patching or device interconnects). Maintain bend radius and avoid permanent compression to preserve shielding and signal quality.
