DIGITUS CAT6 U-UTP slim patch cable set — ten 1 m gray Ethernet patch cords designed for CAT6 networks. These slim patch cables provide reliable gigabit data transmission and are suitable for patch panels, switches and dense cabling environments in offices, data centres and homes. The unshielded twisted pair (U-UTP) design with stranded copper conductors supports Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) applications while the reduced outer diameter and flexible jacket allow space-saving routing in confined spaces.

Advantages

The slim design with a total diameter of approximately 2.7 mm and a flexible LSZH jacket reduces cable bulk and simplifies installation in high-density racks and patch panels. Constructed with stranded AWG 32/7 bare copper conductors and HD-PE insulation, the cables meet ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173 CAT6 standards for consistent performance up to 250 MHz and gigabit speeds. Each cable features a molded strain-relief sleeve and locking lever protection to reduce the risk of connector damage and ensure long-term reliability.

Suitable for

• Office LAN wiring and workstation connections
• Data centre patch panels and switch interconnects with limited space
• Home networks requiring gigabit Ethernet and PoE devices
• High-density cable runs and structured cabling installations

• Conductor: Stranded bare copper AWG 32/7
• Insulation: HD-PE (high-density polyethylene)
• Outer jacket: LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen)
• Total diameter: approx. 2.7 mm ± 0.15 mm
• Transmission performance: up to 250 MHz, suitable for 10/100/1000BASE-T
• Plug type: RJ45 with molded strain relief and locking lever protection
• Bending radius: 15 × outer diameter
• Operating temperature range: -20 °C to +60 °C
• Flame and smoke properties: IEC 60332-1 (flame retardant), IEC 61034 (smoke)
• Typical service life: rated for 750 mating cycles

How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network device (switch, router or NIC) and the other to the corresponding patch panel port or workstation inlet. Ensure the locking tab is engaged to secure the connection and route the slim cable along cable management channels or patch panel guides to maintain bend radius and avoid sharp kinks. For PoE devices, confirm that the switch or injector supplies the required power and that cable runs conform to length and environmental limits for safe operation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and compressions at the connector area, maintain the recommended bending radius, and use appropriate cable management in high-density installations. Keep cable runs away from strong electromagnetic interference sources and follow standard cabling practices (EIA/TIA 568B wiring) when terminating or testing network links.
