Network Cable Lindy 0.3m RJ-45 Cat8.1 Grey is a Cat.8.1 S/FTP LSZH patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet up to 40GBase-T and supporting frequencies up to 2000 MHz. The cable uses an overall braided shield plus foil shielding for each twisted pair (S/FTP) and is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801. It is fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and a snagless strain relief to protect the connector latch during installation and removal.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction provides strong protection against electromagnetic interference while the gold-plated contacts deliver corrosion resistance and sustained contact quality. The LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) sheath reduces smoke and eliminates halogen emissions in case of fire, making the cable suitable for use in public spaces. The snagless design lowers the risk of connector damage when routing or unplugging the cable.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet links (25GBase-T, 40GBase-T)
• Server rooms and data centres requiring ISO/IEC 11801 compliant cabling
• Public buildings and confined spaces where low-smoke, halogen-free materials are required
• Short patch connections between network devices (switches, routers, NICs)

Key specifications

• Standard: Cat.8.1
• Shielding: S/FTP (braid overall + foil per pair)
• Frequency: up to 2000 MHz
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Cable length: 0.3 m
• Sheath: LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen)
• Compliance: manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect the RJ-45 plugs to the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices (switch, router, network interface card). Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch engages. Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid excessive pulling on the sheath; the snagless strain relief helps protect the connector during normal installation and removal. Use the 0.3 m length for short patching between nearby devices.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat.8.1 cable for short-distance, high-bandwidth connections in equipment racks or between adjacent network devices. Avoid installation in environments exceeding manufacturer temperature or mechanical stress ratings, and maintain proper grounding for shielded cabling.
