The LANBERG PCU5-10CC-0025-BK RJ-45 Cat5e U/UTP 0.25 m Black is a short patch cable engineered for local networking tasks where space is limited. This 0.25 m Cat5e cable features RJ-45 connectors on both ends and U/UTP construction to limit electromagnetic interference while maintaining reliable data transmission. Its compact black jacket makes it suitable for tidy installations behind desks, in patch panels or between network devices in home and office environments.

Advantages

The cable's Cat5e category supports standard Ethernet speeds for typical home and small office networks while the U/UTP (unshielded/untwisted pair) design reduces external interference without the added bulk of shielding. Short length minimizes cable clutter and signal attenuation for close-proximity connections. Standard RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with switches, routers, PCs and patch panels, and the black colour offers a discreet appearance in most installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting a PC to a switch or router at short distance
• Patching between ports in a network patch panel
• Linking network devices in cramped or rack-mounted setups
• Temporary test connections or lab environments

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.25 m
• Category: Cat5e
• Construction: U/UTP (unshielded overall, unshielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Colour: Black

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding network ports until the connector latch clicks into place. Use this cable for direct device-to-device links at short distance, for example between a switch and a nearby PC or for patching within a patch panel. Avoid excessive bending or kinking near the connector ends to preserve signal integrity. When removing the cable, depress the connector latch before pulling to prevent damage.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, keep the cable free from sharp bends and avoid running it alongside high-power electrical cables. Use this 0.25 m Cat5e cable for short patching and tidy installations; for longer runs or environments with heavy electromagnetic interference consider using higher-category or shielded alternatives.
